A two-day workshop on creating light installations will take place within Kyiv Lights Festival 2018 with the support of the the Netherlands Embassy in Ukraine. The admission to the workshop is free of charge.
It offers a unique opportunity for visual and conceptual artists, designers, architects and people interested in the media art.
The workshop will be held by Jonas Vorwerk. He is a Dutch multimedia artist who creates environments that challenge both digital and analog interaction between audience and objects (http://jonasvorwerk.nl).
To look into the new dimensions that the digital world can create in the physical space Jonas primarily works with technology, light, music and space. He uses these elements not only as tools but also likes to draw from the broader cultural context that connects them to the popular culture and entertainment, which originates in his own involvement with the electronic music scene and background in engineering.
The works of Jonas Vorwerk could be seen at STRP, Dutch Design Week, Motel Mozaique, De Wereld van het Witte de With Kwartier, Amsterdam Light Festival and many more
More than 20 artists applied to take part in the workshop which will take place on May 19-20 at Pavillion #13 at VDNG.
